A grandmother came in and wanted a CD like Nelly Furtado's "Loose" because her 13 yo granddaughter liked it. I suggested Gwen Stefani. The cover art was dismissed as "too sexy." I wanted to ask granny if she knew what the title "Loose" was all about, maybe play some sample lyrics for her.

A nineteen or twenty yo came in and wanted a book on pharmaceutical sales. I told him we might have the eighth edition. He said he didn't want it because he hadn't read the previous seven editions and was in too much of a hurry to catch up.

A guy kept expressing the concern that he was annooying because his questions were slurred and didn't make sense because he was so drunk. I didn't bother to tell him how right he was.

Other customers were quite fine this week. They aren't all as dumb as bricks.
