Do you play chess? Chess is the only game I really like.

I play chess badly but with great enthusiasm. The only time I ever approached competence was during my semester abroad at Oxford--the boys in my house were chess-obsessed; and I improved half in self-defense and half as a new angle on flirting. That was a very long time ago. But I do play. (Did you miss the "en passant" reference in one of the thousand emails I sent today? Or did you just write it off as French-in-passing?)
