Mar. 30th, 2007 11:15 amToday I got a splinter and the tweezers were good.
Certain people ask for a whole lot.
You know how terrorists, especially in movies, ask for their comrades to be freed from prisons as one of their demands? What about the sick and infirm, is there a way that taking pseudo-hostages (maybe good people who were in on the ruse) could get everyone released from all the intensive care wards? "The Wellness Uprising" sounds like a lovely near-future farce. And, yeah, I know that sometimes people are so sick that they need help and that the terrorists are usually just tossing that demand in there to confuse the crimefighters into not realizing that it's actually a bank robbery, but it would be cool if everyone got better.
The phone is broken. And I've thrown away the bills because I've paid them. And the bills have a little code that would let me email for the repair. So instead I have to go to their website, get the number and then find a working payphone. It's like I'm in the Matrix, without the semi-eww PVC sexiness.
I bought books yesterday. It would have been good if I'd also been able to buy the time to read them.
