Overheard in a sub shoppe yesterday. Sisters, one about three and the other about five, discussing icees.

"Jackie, is the root beer good or bad?"

"Brown."

"Yucky."

I used to live in a world where I could communicate like that.

Here's another. Someone was talking to their sister-in-law, long distance. The sister-in-law had taken the kids to the beach.

"I have to go. Dougie is standing in front of an old couple holding a rock. Dougie! Dougie!"
